Celebrate the energy of new beginnings that the summer solstice brings with this poetry workshop at Milk Thistle! Local author Alexandra Martinez will guide you through this introductory poetry workshop where you’ll either leave with some fully developed poems or the beginnings of some for you to work through on your own. This solstice writing workshop is geared toward introducing new writers to creating their own poetry writing practice via various prompts but all skill levels are welcome. We’ll be reading and studying poetry together written by poets Safia Elhillo, Ingrid M. Calderon Collins, and Nick Rossi.
