Winter is a very special time of year, resilient evergreens mark the land with their unmistakable presence and scent, unphased by changeable weather across ecosystems. Many lifetimes are held within the ripples of their bark.
Join Clinical Herbalist Lia Aspen for an evening of tree stories and wisdom, the beautiful botany of these ancient lifegivers, and how we are in partnership with them in herbal medicine.
In this 2-hour workshop, we will experience: some of our beloved medicinal trees, botanically identify different evergreens with branches and leaves, dive into evergreen personalities, learn how to work with leaves, twigs, branches, and barks as medicine, and discover the magic of resin (energetic and physical use, smoke medicine, and first aid). At the end of our class, we will make medicine with resident conifer, Pinyon Pine, resin and all will go home with a 1 oz tin of resin salve.
Cost per participant: $40.
